scooter pic of the day: for sale in the piaggio museum gift shop, this lamp made from an old vespa headlamp. photo from the fidgety fingers blog. price: 300 euro.
scooter pic of the day: a few days ago in west springfield, massachusetts, a 52 year old man allegedly asked a fellow motorist to fill his coffee cup with fuel, then proceeded to walk back to his scooter and set it ablaze. the above photo is the result. firefighters saw a rag sticking out of the gas tank, and proceeded to call the police. the scooter is too burned to determine the make and model of it. any guesses from the tumblr community, based on the photo?
scooter pic of the day: motorcycle purists i’m sure will hate this, but the cfmoto cruz is another attempt at a scooter/motorcycle. boasting a 4.5 gallon tank, efi, and a cvt transmission, this bike definitely tries to blur the lines. without a giant marketing push and an aggressive expansion of its dealer network, it’s hard imagine this bike making a huge splash, but i like the innovation. except for the audio speakers built in under the gas tank.
scooter pic of the day: engaged couple jason sudeikis and olivia wilde scoot around manhattan. photos from the daily mail.
scooter pic of the day: canadian animator phil postma, who hails from ottawa, drew up a whole bunch of neat batman universe images, including these two wheeled vehicles.
scooter pic of the day: from scoot.net, a creative (but risky-looking) way to load and transport scoots.
scooter pic of the day: a 1965 vespa allstate, for sale in providence, ri. looks pretty snappy. too bad sears doesn’t sell such cool looking things anymore.

scooter pic of the day: on tuesday night, went into the boston to see how things were. lots of reporters and police still, as well as this genuine scooter parked near boston common.
scooter pic of the day: yet another sharp trailer from tom burick. i like this one a lot, though if i owned it, i’d be too tempted to ride it like a roman chariot driver.
scooter pic of the day: available on the amazon.com uk (but not u.s.), this remote control minnie mouse scooter. your tax refund this year might be a little smaller, but perhaps you can afford this!
scooter pic of the day: some more of tom burick’s custom trailer work, this time on a 2013 honda metro. according to tom, he feels like the trailer actually makes the scooter ride with more stability. if you’ve got a bit of disposable income and you want a sharp trailer for your 50cc scoot, contact him— he might be up for it!
scooter pic of the day: the oregon scooter club looks pretty active. so jealous! this is a shot from their ride last weekend to the dayton blockhouse.
