scooter pic of the day: i was stunned to see the price of the new vespa 946 in paris: 9000 euro. that’s more than $11,500 usd. msrp in the u.s. is expected to be $9946. word is that vespa is going to lose money on each u.s. unit sold, too. i guess it’s not going to replace the lx line anytime soon. my friend brought back this directmatin from paris back in march because it had a special scooter feature. directmatin is one those free newspapers they hand out in busy subway stations— kind of like the metro.
scooter pic of the day: I also passed this kymco people 150 scooter last weekend in cambridge. i like the bigger wheels, I like the taiwanese reliability; i haven’t decided whether I like the styling.

scooter pic of the day: i saw this very nice vespa gt200 parked outside the gym at my school in chestnut hill last week. i’ve never seen it on campus before. is it a student’s? a parent’s? another staff member’s? i hope it didn’t get hit by an errant lacrosse ball. i like the larger frame vespas; they’ve got a little more power, but they don’t look like big clunky maxi scooters.
